not quite, it's one of the mechatron iso10 tool change adapters.
the mill's still pretty solid for the size/price, control software is still crap but other than that it's been working.

What is the function of the step feature on the "spokes" of the wheel? I have a hard time seeing how it might give the spokes more strength, but perhaps I'm missing something.

Mostly for clearing other parts of the assembly this goes in.
